Our new neice, Aubrey Pasero
I did something I never do - left my family for 5 whole days and got outta dodge. My sister, Dori, was at the birth of each of my kids. I missed seeing her firstborn, Bryce, until he was a toddler. Well, I didn't want to miss seeing her new baby girl, so I took off for the weekend and saw beautiful Aubrey.
Just a little camera shy.
Too sweet! I just love sunsets/rises on a plane. They are so vibrant. Sorry the wing was in the way. See the moon in the corner? Awesome.

Love is in the air
I noticed the first week of school that Eli was taking his job as big brother and protecter pretty seriously. As he and Eva would walk home, Eli would hold Eva's hand. It brought tears to my eyes when I first saw it. (sappy, I can't help it) Then I noticed they would let go of each others hands as soon as they saw me watching them. So I had to be sneaky one day and get some shots w/out them noticing.
Football fan
I must say I don't love football, but I sure enjoy it a whole lot when my Eli Boy is playing.
Race for the Children
This was the 3rd year someone in our family has run this race over in Lewsville, TX. I wasn't going to run, but Komi registered and then ended up working that morning. So after I ran the 1 miler with Eli and Eva, I ran the 5k. Check out Eva covering her ears for when the gun goes off.
Eli placed 3rd overall and 1st boy this year. Last year, he placed 4th overall. He wasn't as happy as I thought he'd be because 2 girls beat him, he said. Boy, the male ego starts young.
Showing off his newest medal.
Eva was devastated she didn't get a medal like Eli. She wouldn't let me take a picture of her with her participation ribbon. SO - being the great mom that I am, I went to the prize booth and asked if by chance they had any extra medals. I was lucky they did. She was sooooo much happier when they put this around her neck!

Time for Meet the Teacher Aug. '10
The kids were in a silly mood and this was the result.
I still can't figure out how she falls asleep in any position.
Eva has the BEST Kindy teacher ever - Mrs. Redden.

Arizona Summer Trip 2010 - part 1
Call me crazy, but we LOVE to get outta dodge during the hot summers. So where should we go for fun - HOTTER Arizona. We love it, though. There's definitely something to be said about humidity making things feel hotter. Texas-humid, Arizona-dry! We had a great time with our family! Hope to do it again soon.
